Do you think that we could modify the dahdi_genconf script so it doesn't put the current state of the HWEC on the dahdi-channels.conf file?    

We have at least two cases in which our customer thought that HWEC was disable because they read "EC: VPMADT032 - INACTIVE"

I agree this is something that should be done. Let me see what I can do.
