Comments: | By: Shaun Ruffell (sruffell) 2011-04-15 14:10:44 I know this has been sitting here for awhile, but are you saying that the TDM400 violates some spec, or just wanted to take a note that reversepolarity resolves an issue in your setup? By: Alec Davis (alecdavis) 2011-04-15 16:55:34 IIRC when VMWI Line reversal and VMWI neon DC generation were implemented the idle line condition became the same polarity to allow OnHookTransfer to happen without requiring a line switch. Still requires a polarity switch as ring starts. By: Vladimir Mikhelson (vmikhelson) 2011-04-15 20:38:43 @sruffel In my opinion it is a spec violation. I used a standard phone polarity tester to confirm. It is not special to my setup in any shape or form. By: Bennie Sexton (bsexton) 2011-05-03 21:10:33 The RJ11 jacks on the TDM400 are wired contrary to what would be expected in a properly wired RJ11 jack. This fact is however clearly reflected in the manual. It is a bit odd, but not a new find. |
