Description: | I have added functionality to the Asterisk PBX software (v1.2 and v1.4): * Purpose: to be able to interface a PBX using Decadic signalling for DID (Direct Inward Dialling), the type used in Sweden. * Status: up and running since 2006-12-12 (Asterisk version 1.2). An Asterisk with these additions connected to a legacy PBX does DID. Also tested with version 1.4. I have written a short description, se attached file Decadic_DID_2007-05-21.txt. The patches are for Asterisk 1.4 (1.2 are quite similar.) If you find this interesting I will fax a signed disclaimer. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** (I didn't know if this is Zaptel or Core Asterisk. Both?) | ||
Comments: | By: Olle Johansson (oej) 2007-05-22 08:43:55 Olle: We can't even look at it unless you fax a disclaimer. Also please note that we need patches for svn trunk, as we don't add features to released code. Tack p? f?rhand! /Olle By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2007-05-23 01:50:26 I have faxed a signed disclaimer. By: Jason Parker (jparker) 2007-05-24 09:47:08 I'm unable to unzip this file. Is there a reason you needed to upload it in a compressed form? By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2007-05-24 09:59:54 No, just a bad habit I have, zipping everything ... (I downloaded and it is readable for me. I have uploaded the two files uncompressed.) By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2007-06-12 06:30:15 Didn't you get my disclaimer? Or does it just take some time to process? (I could send it with snail mail.) By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2007-06-20 07:05:09 I have sent the disclaimer by snail mail. It should reach Digium Inc, Huntsville, any week now... By: Michiel van Baak (mvanbaak) 2007-09-08 06:23:12 Like oej noted, you should send a patch against current trunk because this is a new feature. Can you upload a new patch with a signed license ? By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2007-09-21 06:57:36 Here is a new patch. It took a few days to make it since I wanted to test it, and my test box almost lost a disk. I didn't know that the disclaimer procedure is online now, so I also uploaded a photo of the (physical) disclaimer, the one I previously faxed. Also, I uploaded the standards document for decadic dialing (in Swedish and English). Just in case you want to look at the gory details of analog signaling. I have not included patches for the Sangoma files, since they are the same. By: Michiel van Baak (mvanbaak) 2007-12-16 04:51:15.000-0600 Can you please complete the online license procedure ? It will take you less then a minute and then we can look at your patch By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2007-12-17 10:47:41.000-0600 Dear mvanbaak, I have signed the elctronic version of Open Source Contributor License on my latest upload (decadic_2007-09-21.patch 22,154 bytes) 09-21-07 06:48). It says "[License OK]". I also have uploaded a scanned copy of the signed license agreement (disclamer_digium_decadic.jpg), from before the electronic version existed. As I interpret the help text for the signing procedure, it can be done only when uploading. I don't have anything more to upload, so I can not sign it again. What more can I do? Best regards, Olle By: Michiel van Baak (mvanbaak) 2007-12-23 04:38:01.000-0600 Olle_O: Thanks. I changed the status to new again. By: Tilghman Lesher (tilghman) 2007-12-23 09:52:07.000-0600 Moving to Zaptel, as this includes kernel driver changes that will need to be examined by a Zaptel maintainer. By: Leif Madsen (lmadsen) 2008-12-05 11:20:22.000-0600 Wow, this is actually a fairly old issue, and there has been no comments in over a year. This would actually need to be updated to be compatible with DAHDI. Is there any interest in getting that done and this supported and merged? By: Olle Olsson (olle_o) 2008-12-08 12:28:28.000-0600 Yes, this is old. As nothing has happened, I did not think anyone was interested. The code is up and running in my company's PBX: Asterisk 1.2 connected to and old Nitsuko DX-E with 30 extensions and 5+5 (in+out) trunk lines. I haven't had the time to upgrade Asterisk in the running installation, but I have tested the additions with 1.4. By: Russell Bryant (russell) 2009-06-15 12:08:12 Thank you very much for the contribution! Unfortunately, at this point this code has fallen very out of date. These patches will need to be ported to Asterisk trunk and DAHDI. If someone is willing to do this and verify that things still work as expected, I would be happy to have someone work on reviewing it for inclusion. Until then, I am marking this issue as suspended. Thanks. |
