Description: | I have a function playback_time_tts() which I use to play a sound file and during file playing I detect a stop word.
When I call this function with a SLIN wav file asterisk crashes. When I convert the wav file to GSM it works. See attached extensions.conf file. | ||

That means the issue will wait in this status until a Bug Marshal has an opportunity to review the issue. Once the issue has been reviewed you will receive comments regarding the next steps towards resolution. A good first step is for you to review the [Asterisk Issue Guidelines|https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Issue+Guidelines] if you haven't already. By: Dror Wald (drorw) 2017-12-17 05:12:01.599-0600 This is an example of a wav file that causes asterisk to crash. By: Dror Wald (drorw) 2017-12-17 05:23:21.417-0600 the file that eagi runs By: Dror Wald (drorw) 2017-12-17 05:30:31.609-0600 core file By: Joshua C. Colp (jcolp) 2017-12-22 08:11:51.716-0600 Does this occur under a current supported version of Asterisk, like 15? I did some tests on both 13 and 15 and was unable to reproduce this using the information you provided. By: Dror Wald (drorw) 2017-12-24 01:38:59.734-0600 I use Asterisk 14.5.0 By: Dror Wald (drorw) 2017-12-24 01:41:21.835-0600 Did you find anything in the core file? By: Joshua C. Colp (jcolp) 2017-12-24 05:12:47.279-0600 It shows that there was indeed a crash when freeing the frame, but Asterisk 14 itself is no longer supported and has received no bug fixes in quite some time. It also won't receive a fix for this if the issue still exists - thus my question about trying a supported version of Asterisk. By: Asterisk Team (asteriskteam) 2018-01-07 12:00:01.759-0600 Suspended due to lack of activity. This issue will be automatically re-opened if the reporter posts a comment.
