I think it still serves that purpose even with the truncation. We don't gain much by pushing the columns wider, throwing them over 100 characters. In the case a user wants to read more of the synopsis or command name for a particular command, the user can tab complete with "manager show command <command name>" to see the full details. This is definitely not a bug, and fairly subjective whether we consider this an improvement or not. If you feel strongly about it, bring it up on the asterisk-dev list to get a consensus from the development community and then we can re-open if it turns out that everyone wants this to be wider.
