Description:On "make install" of newly compiled Asterisk, install attempts to get extra sounds for various codecs as requested in the "make menuselect" process. tar.gz downloads for codecs are fine until g722, when the download stops halfway through and does not resume promptly.

I repeated this several times and behaviour was the same each time.

To allow the install process to continue I deleted the partly downloaded tar.gz from the sounds directory and removed the request from the menuselect process.

Are there any error messages to indicate why it stops or does not resume?  Have you checked the space on that partition where the sounds are being downloaded?

I just tested this and everything downloaded and installed for me.

Yes, I just tried and it now works. Lots of space on the destination drive. During the download moments ago the download stopped several times, but was able to continue within a few seconds. Earlier I was waiting for long minutes and download would not resume. I will put it down to a lazy server in my traceroute.
Thanks for checking.
