| Description: | Hello, I'm running asterisk 1.8.10 on Ubuntu Server 12.04 . I added in rc.local : wait 30 bash /usr/sbin/safe_asterisk When server starts, asterisk starts too but if i run killall -9 asterisk asterisk doesn't restarts and it stops. If i start manualy safe_asterisk in terminal(or in a SCREEN) and run in other window the kill command it works just fine. On my other asterisk servers with older versions all ok ,safe asterisk in rc.local ,killall -9 asterisk doesn't kill it just restarts it. | ||

We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise your question to the community for support. You can find resources here: http://www.asterisk.org/support. safe_asterisk has not been modified since 2010 and we don't have any other reports of a similar nature. From your description of the problem, it appears unique to the single server with which you are experiencing the problem. I recommend exploring possible issues with the Linux environment in which the script is running. | ||
