Description:Hello,

I'm running asterisk 1.8.10 on Ubuntu Server 12.04 .
I added in rc.local :

wait 30
bash /usr/sbin/safe_asterisk

When server starts, asterisk starts too but if i run killall -9 asterisk asterisk doesn't restarts and it stops.
If i start manualy safe_asterisk in terminal(or in a SCREEN) and run in other window the kill command it works just fine.

On my other asterisk servers with older versions all ok ,safe asterisk in rc.local ,killall -9 asterisk doesn't kill it just restarts it.

Thanks for your comments. This does not appear to be a bug report and we are closing it. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise your question to the community for support.

You can find resources here: http://www.asterisk.org/support.  safe_asterisk has not been modified since 2010 and we don't have any other reports of a similar nature. From your description of the problem, it appears unique to the single server with which you are experiencing the problem.  I recommend exploring possible issues with the Linux environment in which the script is running.
