Description:I compiled and installed Asterisk 1.8.4-rc on an Ubuntu 10.04.2 box(64 bit).  Also loaded were dahdi,dahdi-tools and skypeforasterisk.

When the system was started the extensions.conf file was not processed, and some of the related commands like "dialplan reload" were missing from the command line.  Additional commands were also missing, like "core stop now".

When I removed the the two skype modules and restarted Asterisk, the dialplan was present.  I then copied the two Skype modules into the modules directory, then manually loaded them from the command line.  chan_skype.so appeared to have loaded normally, but when I attempted to load res_skypeforasterisk.so the console locked up.  When the machine was rebooted with the skype modules present, no dialplan.

Removing the skype modules and rebooting resulted in a usable system.  Since I need skype, however, I ultimately had to revert back to 1.8.3.2.

asterisk-1.8.4-rc2
dahdi-linux-2.4.1.2

Skype For Asterisk (SFA) is a commercial module, thus all support should be directed to Digium directly. Thanks!
