Description:Occasionally there is either a very loud crackling noise or hum and the voice transmission is distorted or the call is one sided. This is only heard by the person on the SIP phone whilst the person on the other side does not hear anything noise. The dahdi hardware consists of 2 cards (2 port ISDN TE210P) and TDM800P but this problem is only occurring on the TE210P.

I also tried to force the codec to Alaw since the isdn in europe is alaw to avoid any transcoding but it did not make a difference. If you would like, I even have a recording of the hum may be it may be useful

****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ******

I am running asterisk 1.6.2.17.2 and dahdi 2.4.1 (all compiled from source) on centos 5.5 64bit. The card is a Wildcard TE210P (4th Gen) (VPMOCT064).

It issue was occurring on 1.6.2.13 also and dahdi 2.2.0 and I upgraded to 1.6.2.17.2 with dahdi 2.4.1 with the hope that the problem gets solved but it seems to be getting worse.

lspci -vv does not show any irq conflicts but when doing cat /proc/dahdi/1 for example I can see 5 timing slips

Span 1: TE2/0/1 "T2XXP (PCI) Card 0 Span 1" (MASTER) HDB3/CCS ClockSource
       Timing slips: 5

The output of dahdi_scan is

[root@pbx1 ~]# dahdi_scan
