Crashes at this stage are typically the result of leaving old modules in the modules directory. Are you sure that this is not the case here?

I cannot be positive, however once it happens again I will check the modules directory.

Any update here Paul?

<pabelanger> leifmadsen: Yes, it is still an issue. I'm not sure what we can do within Asterisk.  Corydon76-home looked at it a few weeks ago, if I remember correctly this is a problem with error codes returned from dlerror
<pabelanger> I only notice it under VMs and appears to be random.  However, once you hit it, Asterisk dies.

Per the Asterisk maintenance timeline page at http://www.asterisk.org/asterisk-versions maintenance (bug) support for the 1.4 and 1.6.x branches has ended. For continued maintenance support please move to the 1.8 branch which is a long term support (LTS) branch. For more information about branch support, please see https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Versions

If this is still an issue, please open a new issue so it can be re-triaged appropriately. Thanks!
