Description:	Hello, if found this issue, after we outsourced the VM to a separate Asterisk box. And then i noticed, that the asterisk maschines that only should to call handling (noload => app_voicemail.so) still send MWI Notify's when a SIP client register. The patch fix this issue. Also i must be sure, that chan_sip.so is not preloaded in modules.conf
Comments:	By: Kristijan Vrban (vrban) 2010-09-16 04:25:26 use patch v3 By: Russell Bryant (russell) 2010-10-15 11:52:36 My opinion is that I don't find the existing behavior to be a problem.  If you configure a mailbox, then I would expect Asterisk to send MWI.  If you don't want it to send MWI, then don't configure a mailbox. In versions after 1.4, this type of change could be harmful, as it is possible for Asterisk to know about the state of a mailbox even without app_voicemail loaded using some distributed state features.
