Description:This is being seen by a few people who are using chan_iax2 on their Asterisk systems to dial another recently upgraded Asterisk system. Everyone is running Asterisk 1.8.

After the upgrade, dialing to the common Asterisk system no longer works. It presents a codec negotiation error.

One of the client systems was running a revision of Asterisk from November. After the common system upgrade, that system could no longer negotiate to the common system. Upgrading the client system to the latest 1.8 has resolved the issue.

****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ******

I consider this a blocker for 1.8.3 since the newer 1.8 version should still work with older 1.8 revisions.

I've attached the changes_since_log.txt file which shows the changes since 1.8.0-rc1 (which would contain the changes since prior to November.)

We determined that there were no required changes to make here.  The early versions of Asterisk 1.8 were broken.
