This issue also exists in 1.6.2 and probably prior builds.

in Asterisk 220.127.116.11 this issue is still valid.
Is there any chance that it will be fixed for Asterisk 1.8 or Asterisk 10?

This was actually just fixed in r373298. Please try with a latest check out of 1.8. Note that this is most likely scheduled for inclusion in release 18.104.22.168/10.10.0.
