The audio issues can be described as ECHO/distortion/robotic sounds.

We tried using Digium and Xorcom Hardware on different machines and can reproduce.

We tried using MG2 and OSLEC and still the same problem.

We tried tweaking echo cancellation settings.

We have tried different versions of DAHDI and Asterisk.

I'm not sure if this is related to 0016165 or not, but there is a chance that they may be.

Per the Asterisk versions page [1], the maintenance (bug fix) support for the Asterisk branch you are using has ended. For continued maintenance support please move to a supported branch of Asterisk. After testing with a supported branch, if you find this problem has not been resolved, please open a new issue against the latest version of that Asterisk branch.

Note that this may have also been fixed in a more recent version of DAHDI. Please test with a recent version of DAHDI as well.
