Description:Hello,

It has come to our attention on an asterisk 1.6.1 branch (tested on both 1.6.1.1 and 1.6.1.16) when a UA with Avaya IP Office 5.0 tries to connect to our asterisk , the asterisk daemon crashes.

I've attached the trace from the dump generated.

While running on 1.6.2.2 the problem appears to be solved. I am marking the issue private because of the sensitive nature of the trace.

Thanks for the information! A developer will review this as time and resources allow.

Could you please mark this ticket private? I was under the impression that I had it already private!

Just to confirm, please retest with the latest 1.6.2 (see below).

Per the Asterisk maintenance timeline page at http://www.asterisk.org/asterisk-versions maintenance (bug) support for the 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 branches has ended. For continued maintenance support please move to the 1.6.2 branch.

More information on this change can be found in the release announcement: http://www.asterisk.org/node/49924

For this to remain open as a potential security issue, we need you to test with the very latest 1.6.1 branch.

In addition, since this is potentially easy for you to reproduce, please follow the instructions in doc/valgrind.txt.
