Description:VPS systems are becoming more common with OpenVZ/Virtuozzo being the best for Asterisk.  In order to get MeetMe conferencing to work on a VPS, Zaptel/Dahdi needs to be installed on the Host OS because that is where the Kernel resides.

The most common configuration is 64bit Host OS, 32bit VPS.  Unfortunately Zaptel/Dahdi does not work in this mixed environment.  It only seems to work if both Host and VPS are 32 bit or both are 64bit.

It would be a convenient if Dahdi could be made to work in a mixed environment.  Not sure if this should be called a Feature request or a bug.  Many Kernel Modules work in Mixed OpenVZ/Virtuozzo environments but Zaptel/Dahdi is not one of them.

I consider this a feature request, thus I'm going to close this issue. I'm not sure any of the core developers are familiar with OpenVZ, thus this issue won't likely get much attention unless an accompanying patch is attached.
