Description: | Asterisk does not fully support SIP connections to ITSPs. For example chan_sip.c does not support DID calls that have the extension defined only in the to-header. It also does not support peer matching on the register contact (callbackexten). It is generally thought that these features should be captured in a new peer type such as type=service | ||

By: Leif Madsen (lmadsen) 2010-01-12 11:12:19.000-0600 Just pinging oej so he is aware of this if he is interested at all. By: Olle Johansson (oej) 2010-01-12 12:36:10.000-0600 Thanks for the ping, lmadsen. I have already written e-mail to asterisk-dev about how I think we should proceed with this and the two other patches. By: nick_lewis (nick_lewis) 2010-01-19 06:01:28.000-0600 oej - since you have a veto on this I guess it is your way or the highway as far as getting stuff into trunk. Please be specific regarding what system design work and documentation you would like to see for type=service and I will see whether I can find some time to do it By: Leif Madsen (lmadsen) 2010-01-19 10:52:56.000-0600 oej: can you add a link to the mailing list thread and email for reference here?
