Description:Previously, I was running 1.6.1-beta4 on my G4 XServe with no problems (save for some unrelated issues). I recently moved to a Dell PowerEdge 2550 running Debian (primarily so I could use G.729) and I tried to build 1.6.1-beta4. I built and installed only to find that it crashed immediately on start. As such, I rolled back to 1.6.0.3 which builds and runs without issue (except for bug 13194 which has been fixed in the 1.6.1 branch). I also tried building the trunk version with the same result.

So, the long and short is, the most current version is crashing on start on my machine. I would like to upgrade, but I can't. For convenience, I've attached a core dump.

Please do not attach a core dump.  Please follow the instructions in doc/backtrace.txt to generate an appropriate backtrace and post that instead.

I apologize for my ignorance. However, on a positive note, from doing the backtrace, I discovered that the problem lies with the G.729 channel module. Unfortunately, although I searched (and it appears that there is a compatible module) I can't find a new binary that works with 1.6.1-beta4. Although I realize this isn't really the appropriate place, I would appreciate it if someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

Assuming you acquired the module through Digium, you would want to contact their customer support.

I did and I will. Thank you.
