I had a simulate environment where pickup crash for me, and I found that with a wctdm module I only can't pickup it but asterisk didn't crash. I was using wcte12xp module in the environment it crashes for me.

From the party I'm ringing from it still ring till timeout. When I try to pickup the channel from another phone in the reciveing asterisk the receptor stop ringing but the phone where I tryed to pickup it's in silence.

Having the same problem here with 1.4.23-rc3 and Zaptel 1.4.11. The calling parting still ring, but no sound in pickup exten.

If Asterisk is generating a coredump file, then we need you to *attach* a file with the output of the backtrace (see backtrace.txt in your doc/ directory of the asterisk source).

Also be sure you have enabled 'DONT_OPTIMIZE' in the Compiler Flags within menuselect, 'make install', and then reproduce the issue. Attach the backtrace output per the file I referenced above. Thanks!

Is anyone able to attach the backtrace to this issue so that we can move this forward? This is holding up the 1.4.23 release and we need to get it fixed. Thanks!

Sorry. It was in production, and I have downgraded to rc2. I'll try with a test Asterisk.

Thanks for following up. You get some karma for that :)

In addition to the backtrace, can we get the relative configuration and the callflow in order to reproduce the problem?

Do you have an ETA for getting the backtrace?

Sorry, times up. You missed the boat for 1.4.23.

Any information you can provide to get this fixed would be great, but it won't make it until 1.4.24.

The symptoms of the initial pickup failure sound like
http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=14206 which is fixed... I think this was committed prior to official release of 1.4.23 but definitely included in latest SVN

I tested this fix but only on SIP. Perhaps the fix in 14206 will prevent segfault in bug 14135

eb3dgz, lbenzo; you should try testing with latest 1.4 SVN and report back to 14135

If either eb3dgz or lbenzo can test with latest SVN to determine if the issue is fixed and report back, that would be great.

If not, then I'm going to close this issue as suspended early next week.

Thanks!

Hey Leif

I just tested with revision 171623 and zaptel 1.4.12
I had no problem picking up a zaptel channel without any crash.

I think you definitely can close this out as fixed in SVN 170394 for version 1.4

Hi!

I'm not having this problem with the last SVN version.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reports everyone! Closing this issue out.
