Description:I have a friend configured in sip.conf (very simple config).  It was working fine in the Asterisk 1.6.0 branch, but isn't working in 1.6.1-beta3 (or the latest from the 1.6.1 branch via SVN either).

With 1.6.1-beta3, the matching doesn't work on a fresh restart of Asterisk.  But if I make any sort of change to sip.conf (even just add a comment) and then do a "sip reload", then calls match on the appropriate friend.

With 1.6.1 from SVN, the matching never works, even after changing sip.conf and typing "sip reload".

****** STEPS TO REPRODUCE ******

1. Use the attached sip.conf and extensions.conf configuration files with Asterisk 1.6.1-beta3
2. Register a SIP phone to Asterisk using the credentials in the sip.conf file
3. Call extension 6001 from the phone while watching the CLI
4. Notice that Asterisk sends a 404 error because it can't find extension 6001 in the default context
5. Add a comment to sip.conf, and type "sip reload" at the Asterisk CLI
6. Call 6001 again, and notice on how it matches the users context this time.

I just tested 1.6.1-beta3 and reproduced.  But, when I test on the 1.6.1 branch, the problem appears to be fixed.  Asterisk SVN-branch-1.6.1-r164739 built by terry @ cesium on a x86_64 running Linux on 2008-12-16 19:42:39 UTC

jsmith, leif, can you confirm that this appears fixed in the 1.6.1 branch?

maybe it was fixed in this bugreport:

This appears to be working in SVN-branch-1.6.1-r164805.  The version that was not working was SVN-branch-1.6.1-r164527.  I haven't taken the time to figure out what was different between those two versions yet, but wanted to post the revisions in case someone else wants to figure it out.

Feel free to close this bug now!
