Description:As discussed in http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=1492, allowing Add/RemoveQueueMember to interface with a ODBC database to provide dynamic queue member updates would be very beneficial.

****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ******

The bug above (1492) talks about implementing the feature for the xQueueMember function but decides it is best discussed in another bug. I can't find this topic so either I'm missing it or it never happened.

I have already tried to use AddQueueMember by editing my extconfig file, creating the appropriate db tables etc but the members are always added to Astdb. I am using 1.6.0 and connecting to MySQL 5.0 via ODBC

Without attaching any code to the feature request, this issue will get closed pretty fast.

True, but I don't want to start coding if there is already a patch out there.

Sorry, I posted the wrong link above... the correct link is http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=4037

As nobody has yet stepped forward to provide any such code, I am suspending this issue.  When you have candidate code to upload, please feel free to reopen this issue.

this may be included with the fixups in

https://reviewboard.asterisk.org/r/1538/

have been thinking about a extern_notify_on_add but not sure yet
the above does better support dynamic and realtime
