Description:The distributed file doc/ldap.txt does not have accurate information according to the schema distributed in contrib/scripts/asterisk.ldap-schema. For instance in the doc/ldap.txt file a "objectClass: AstAccountSIP" is specified, but it does not exist in the schema!

It would be good to include a working ldif that we can apply to our openldap that would create a few test users to help us get started with configuring the ldap backend users.

I have successfully imported the schema, but I can't seem to successfully create the user trees similar to below. (using the correct objects as defined in the schema of course.)

Excerpt from doc/ldap.txt:
# Base SIP Phones Entry
dn: uid=phone-base,dc=myDomain,dc=myDomainExt
objectClass: top
objectClass: AstAccount
objectClass: AstAccountSIP
uid: phone-base
AstAccountAccountingCode: baseacccode
AstAccountHost: dynamic
preferredLanguage: FR
AstAccountAMAFlags: billing
AstAccountContext: ldaptest

Also this issue... next week yet? :)

Sorry, been very busy. Will get to it soon.

I think 13861 may have the working schema actually now as jcovert added some comments there. Can you verify that? If so, I do plan on adding some documentation, and getting that patch committed. If you could verify that is true, then we could close out those two bugs at the same time.

Thanks!

The schema works, just the docs are work. Will try to do this this week.

That's right, the schema is correct.  The mods to res_ldap.conf over in issue ASTERISK-13036 do need to be committed, but since everyone has to edit that file themselves, many are able to figure out how to fix it.

Is this still needed, as I just saw https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=13861

Didn't know about that.

Closing this issue as it appears that 13861 may have actually taken over what this issue was trying to do. So I'm going to close this issue unless someone can specifically think of a reason this should still be open.

Feel free to reopen if necessary.
