Description: | A, B, C are all SIP telephones registered to OpenSER, which proxies all calls to Asterisk. A calls B, which does an attended transfer to C. A and C are then talking. C hangs up, but Asterisk never sends a SIP BYE to A. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** A trace is attached: Phone A = 12345999 Phone B = 50002010 Phone C = 50002009 C hangs up at 08:04:56, but no BYE is sent to A. The BYE at 08:05:01 is when I hang up on handset A. | ||
Comments: | By: Alistair Cunningham (acunningham) 2008-08-06 13:24:52 Trace uploaded. Hostnames and IP addresses have been changed to protect the innocent. The Asterisk machine is shown as 66.1.1.228, and the OpenSER machine as 66.1.1.229. By: Alistair Cunningham (acunningham) 2008-09-08 05:20:40 Would there be any follow-up on this ticket? By: Jeff Peeler (jpeeler) 2008-11-13 17:43:12.000-0600 It might be useful for you to remove OpenSER from the situation. I quickly tested here with the above scenario and saw that the BYE was indeed sent to phone A. By: Alistair Cunningham (acunningham) 2008-11-13 17:50:19.000-0600 Unfortunately OpenSER is integral to the architecture. In any case, we can definitely see in the trace that it's Asterisk that is not sending the BYE. By: Terry Wilson (twilson) 2008-11-25 13:36:54.000-0600 acunningham: could you produce a wireshark capture from the OpenSER and asterisk boxes for me and post them here for me to look at? By: Alistair Cunningham (acunningham) 2008-11-25 16:31:18.000-0600 Unfortunately not. The customer has requested that we keep their hostnames and IP addresses confidential. By: Leif Madsen (lmadsen) 2009-01-09 09:08:34.000-0600 I'm not sure how you expect us to move this forward without debugging information... By: Alistair Cunningham (acunningham) 2009-01-09 15:28:52.000-0600 This can be closed for now. If we're able to properly test it, I will re-open.
