| Description: | Using the command line to access the console such as in the command 'asterisk -rx "sip show peers"' now results in a significant (about 1/2 second) delay when exiting the console. This causes serious delays for scripts that need to access the asterisk command line in a time sensitive manor (such as before call setup). This appears to have started only since 1.4.20 and newer though I didn't test 1.4.19, it did not happen in 1.4.18. | ||

We recommend that you convert your automated scripts into using the Asterisk Manager Interface, as it is explicitly designed for that purpose. Please note that there is a sample script called astcli in contrib/scripts that performs this same purpose, and could be used in an automated script as a replacement for 'asterisk -rx'. | ||
