Which operating system?  There are three different versions of this script that implement "status" (and also one zaptel one that does).

Also, note that patches provided other than as attachments will be deleted.  Before you submit a patch, you need to accept the contributors' licence agreement and have it agreed by Digium.  You then need to upload as an attachment, marked as code/documentation.

Finally, assuming that you are able to agree the licence, the preferred format for patches is the output from "diff -u".

PS This looks like an enhancement, and version 1.4 is no longer open for enhancements.

I am using OpenSuSE 10.3;
Also, the "#Description" in ###BEGIN INIT-INFO is a bit misleading.

In case of OS-specific /etc/init.d/asterisk, this file even needs a bit more polishing regarding usage with rc-style and/or YAST of SuSE.

Please do NOT put patches in the additional information field.  All code contributions MUST be uploaded as patch files, under the standard licensing scheme.

reinerotto: I need a patch uploaded through the licensing system, or this issue will be closed.

Closed due to lack of response.  If you're able to provide the necessary patch, please reopen this issue, or ask a bug marshal on #asterisk-bugs on Freenode if you need assistance.
