Description: | When listening to messages (before or after the actual message playback) it is possible to change folders by pressing '2'. Although this is a desirable piece of functionality, it is not described in the help dialogs, so unless a user happens to try it, they will never know it is available at that time. I would like to suggest changing the recording that says: "Press 5 to repeat the current message. Press 7 to delete this message, press 8 to forward the message to another user, or 9 to save this message. Press * for help or # to exit." And add "Press 2 to change folders" | ||
Comments: | By: Jason Parker (jparker) 2008-03-05 09:30:17.000-0600 I don't know if I agree with this. The way this menu works, it allows more than is present in the prompt (but it is noted in another prompt), to keep a "logical flow". You'll also note that they have the ability to press 3, 4, 6, etc here. It seems a bit silly to me, to have all these items in the prompt, when it's already handled elsewhere. Consider it a "power user" shortcut. By: James Rothenberger (jaroth) 2008-03-05 09:37:13.000-0600 Understood. This request is from a customer that has a large user base that is used to knowing what options they have at a particular prompt (to make the system as usable as possible). I'll defer the argument for this prompt to them. By: Jason Parker (jparker) 2008-03-07 16:30:07.000-0600 Closing, per my previous comment. If this is needed, you could always have Allison record said prompt for that customer. |
