Description:Currently the temporary greeting prompt says the following (when the temporary greeting is in use):

"Press 1 to record your temporary greeting, or press 2 to erase your temporary greeting"

For more immediate feedback of the state of the temporary greeting, it could say:

"Press 2 to erase your temporary greeting, or press 1 to record your temporary greeting"

This would create a bigger difference between the "unset" state and the "set" state.  This is a small issue but made a big difference to our user community.  Attached is a sample WAV file of the modified recording (which just needs to replace the current vm-tempgreeting2 in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds

I can see where you're coming from here, since it is a bit odd to hear an option for recording a temporary greeting first when you already have one recorded.

The problem though is that if we decide to put this into Asterisk, we can't simply use the file provided, we would have to get a new sound recorded since we would also need to get the sound recorded to sound as natural as possible, at the proper bitrate, and in Spanish and French in addition to English. In addition to changing the order of the options, we may also consider the idea of changing the prompt to say something like "...to *re-record* your temporary greeting" or "... to record a *new* temporary greeting" to further indicate that they already have a temporary greeting recorded.

Seems like this can get filed along with several other issues which are dependent on new sounds being recorded.

Is there a timeframe for when the new sounds might be recorded so this one can be closed out?
