Description: | [From a Digium team call 18-Dec] Provide a way within the GUI to upgrade the GUI (e.g. download new bits from rPath, which is currently only possible from the command line). Extra credit/design issue to consider: a simple checkpoint/rollback mechanism, in case a GUI upgrade results in an unstable system for some reason. | ||
Comments: | By: Pari Nannapaneni (pari) 2007-04-03 12:43:42 ok, I never saw this before, but rpath's GUI (linked from out GUI) already has an "system update" feature which I guess is the same as conary update from the console. So there is no point in trying to implement yet another gui-only update system for asteriskNow. the updated gui files can be passed on as a conary update. And the user can do all this using rpaths GUI - a link to which is provided in our GUI. And on the appliance, we now have a way to update to a new firmware from with in the GUI. so I'm going to close this issue. -pari |
