Description:On Asterisk 1.2.9.1 and 1.2.13, if you issue a manager redirect action on a channel that's currently in a AGI command, Asterisk hangs up on the channel rather than redirecting it.

This applies to both single channel transfers and dual transfers. In dual transfers, if one channel is in an AGI command and the other is not, the one in AGI is hung up, and the other is redirected correctly.

This is similar to ASTERISK-3118, and may be the same problem.

what happens if you try that patch there?

By: Alistair Cunningham (acunningham) 2006-12-07 14:17:55.000-0600

Yes, the patch fixes the problem.

What are the chances of getting this patch merged into 1.2.X? It does fix a bug.

ok, what about markster's suggestion in note 0022074?

I don't understand how that would help; it seems to me that an Asterisk source code patch is still needed. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what he says.

yes, you need to patch the code, since isnt in the tree.
We need to make sure that it will not break anything else before.

I tried for quite some time to reproduce this using the latest code but have been unable. Is this still an issue? What channels are involved if so, can you provide the console output? Thanks.

Unfortunately we are no longer in a position to test this we've written our production code to work around this, and the test machine has been reused for other things. If that means this ticket has to be closed as it cannot be reproduced, I understand.

Suspended for now since it is unable to be reproduced... or may have been fixed by another commit. If this does creep up again please feel free to reopen it.
