Description: | [entered for tracking] This appears to be a design error: the overloaded use of the "password" in for both the VM password and the SIP device secret in the User tab will lead to operational confusion. For example, when a user changes their VM password (through the VM IVR menus), will the SIP device auth break? (Whatever the resolution, the Tooltip should clearly say what the field is used for). | ||
Comments: | By: James Lyons (james) 2007-01-03 16:00:55.000-0600 I think the suggestion by dome to have an additional config option in users.conf for 'vmpassword' is the best solution to this problem. So when a user changes their VM password thru the Voicemail app, it should change what vmpassword in users.conf is set to, thus not breaking the sip/iax accounts |
