Description:Server details: Dell 1850 PowerEdge server
Asterisk version: 1.2.9.1
Linux Distro: Gentoo
Kernel: 2.6.12.5
PRI Card: TE411P

We suddenly lost the ability to make new calls on  one of our Live server. When trying to make new calls we got following message on Asterisk CLI.

Nov  8 17:31:26 WARNING[32274]: chan_zap.c:8396 pri_dchannel: Ring requested on channel 0/1 already in use on span 1.  Hanging up owner.

Nov  8 17:31:46 WARNING[6874]: channel.c:787 channel_find_locked: Avoided deadlock for '0xb6d7a978', 10 retries!

When trying to stop asterisk using "stop now" it hanged up and we had to kill it using killall -9 asterisk.

Please suggest.

if it the same kind of problem, would you please monitor 6997 and / or 8027 instead, so that I could close this bug. Thanks.

hmm well on those bugs no one seems to be saying that the issue is actually fixed...

what do you advise?

just because it's not fixed in the other reports does not mean that you should raise a new bug report. Add your comments to the other issues.
