Description: | The attached patch automatically sets externip to the external IP address of the router which asterisk is behind. It does this by using received= in the Via: header in the response to the REGISTER message. This means that no configuration is required to use asterisk as a SIP client behind a NAT router. Even if asterisk is not behind a NAT router this patch should be benign, but it isn't something I am able to test. I've been running asterisk with this patch for over a year. | ||
