Description:If you enter "<space>exit" to the CLI, Asterisk responds with:

No such command 'exit' (type 'help' for help)

Either it should trim leading whitespace from the command line before parsing (right) or it should include the space in the error message (wrong, but at least not misleading).

"exit" is not a valid command.  If you do "show channels" or " show channels" (a valid command, or a valid command with a leading space) the behavior is the same.

I don't understand.

Why do you say "exit" is not a valid command? How do you to exit the cli?
