Description: | We are having some high CPU load issues on our Asterisk environment and it has been suggested that we change all of the ivr prompts from gsm format to g711 ulaw 8 bit mono wav format. Does anyone agree or disagree with this suggestion. I want to get a 2nd opinion before swapping out all 40 ivr prompts. Thanks in advance | ||
Comments: | By: Serge Vecher (serge-v) 2006-06-30 10:09:01 bug tracker is a tool to report bug reports, not ask questions. Please either use the asterisk-users mailing list or #asterisk channel on IRC for questions. By: Joshua C. Colp (jcolp) 2006-06-30 10:09:41 This isn't really the place for this sort of question, the asterisk-users mailing list would be better. I'll answer it though - put your prompts in every format that a call could be in, that way Asterisk will not transcode - it'll just read it off disk and feed it in. |
