Description:When asterisk calls ekiga, it offers iLBC on codec type 97 (rtpmap) but ekiga.org (OPAL library) answers with codec type 115, which is authorised but not recommended by the RFC. Asterisk chokes on that and the user on the ekiga side cannot be heard.

There has been extensive discussions of codec handling in 2293 and 4825, but this bug is still there.

Also when ekiga calls, it offers iLBC on codec type 115 while asterisk answers codec type 97. Ekiga has been fixed to support this behavoir, however astersik should not change the codec type unless it has very good reasons to do so (cf RFC)

I'm using ABE latest.

I have some packet captures if needed...

It seems to me it is duplicate of 4895 (closed due to inactivity)...

franck: I don't know if the bugtracker is the apropriate place for ABE bugs, but just case it is, can you please attach a full sip log of the transaction with set verbose 4, set debug 4 and sip debug. Thanks. Also, is this repeatable in open-source asterisk?

This, in fact, is NOT the appropriate place for ABE bugs.  Please contact Digium support.
