Description:Asterisk does not switch between several ip if a dns lookup returns several addresses. Here there a 2 different situations:

- we are talking about a (outbound) trunk: (ex sip.phonesystems.net / sip.sipdiscount.com), placing an outbound call might fail just because the ONE peer that poped up first is down but the call could have gone through if we tried the 2nd ip.
-> solution: create a unique peer per ip (might have to manuall keep these ip adresses up to date)

- we are talking about a sip registration ... well here we can't just register with every ip adress (phonesystems does not accept this for exemple) but asterisk will stay trying registering with this one peer that's down. So you have to manually change your registry settings whenever a problem occurs...

This is a known problem and needs to be resolved along with Enum issues we have.

This is not a MAJOR bug. Asterisk is not documented to, nor has it ever, had support for handling multiple DNS results for a hostname lookup. As such, the fact that it does not do so is not a bug, but a lack of functionality that will be addressed when someone has the time and motivation to do so.
