Description: | I have a IAX register to a provider, the registration works fine for about 3-4 days. Then the registration is lost. A "iax2 show registry" from CLI shows "Request sent" to become "Timeout". I can register from another Asterisk or IAX phone with no problem, so I don't think it is a network problem. With a sniffer I can see the REGREQ packets sent, but no response. After restarting Asterisk, reload is not enough, all works well. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** This is a major problem since I have many users and can not easaly restart Asterisk. It is a major work to update Asterisk since I have many applications of various kinds developed for this Asterisk. We are using Asterisk@home 1.5, i.e. Asterisk 1.0.9 | ||
Comments: | By: Tim Mickelson (tim_mickelson) 2005-11-08 11:26:20.000-0600 To make things even worse, I have noted, that it is not sufficient to restart Asterisk, but I need to reboot the Linux Server. Any hints? By: Kevin P. Fleming (kpfleming) 2005-11-08 15:01:06.000-0600 If Asterisk is sending REGREQ but not receiving a reply, then the problem is not in Astersk. In addition, if it requires restart the Linux server to fix it, then the problem must be occurring outside Asterisk. This could be a firewall or NAT issue, or a dynamic IP address issue, or many other sorts of network problems. |
