Description:We are using cdr on an external mysql db. If the connection with the database is lost asterisk take new calls but the channels never hang up. With zap channels we get all channels busy after a while.

Yes, please send some debug/cli information, as I have this in use in many servers currently - and I'd be happy to help track down the problem.

There have been recent changes to the MySQL support for Asterisk that may help with this situation. In addition, you can enable background posting of CDR entries to keep the Asterisk channels from getting 'stuck'. You still won't get the CDR entries posted into the database until it comes back up (if then), but that's no different than if you don't use background posting :-)
