Description: | hi I've setup a system with each phone/ata having a unique number (serial) instead of using the phone number for authentication. This also means most clients needs to be configured with this 7-digit serial as the callerid. Then, overriding the callerid on the server side, the user's numbershows correctly on PSTN. However, if dialling SIP-SIP via asterisk, the clients will insist on their own configured callerid and this is then shown on the other end. So, in short, CallerID overriding if dialling SIP-SIP doesn't work :( roy ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** Reproduced with stable and head | ||
Comments: | By: Leif Madsen (lmadsen) 2005-08-05 08:38:52 Can we get a SIP debug and/or packet trace of this? The configuration of your SIP users/peers in sip.conf would probably be useful. By: Roy Sigurd Karlsbakk (rkarlsba) 2005-08-05 08:49:35 I'm not using sip.conf here, but realtime (on head). callerid setting in realtime and/or sip.conf is not relevant here - whatever I set it to, it's overridden by the client. I have the same issue with stable and mysqlsipfriends By: Roy Sigurd Karlsbakk (rkarlsba) 2005-08-05 08:54:52 perhaps not overridden by the client, though, but rather _not_ overridden by asterisk... the callerid shown is always identical to the username used By: Roy Sigurd Karlsbakk (rkarlsba) 2005-08-05 09:24:19 Forget it and close this I had forgotten to reset CallerID(name) so that was shown :P |
