Description:When calling from another asterisk server, the voicemail stops recording one minute into the message (maxmessage is set to 180).

Bug happens with: device->SIP->AsteriskServer(CVS-Stable)->SIP->VoicemailServer(CVS-Stable)

- If the calling device is directly connected to the server, there is no problem reaching the 180 seconds. device->SIP->VoicemailServer(CVS-Stable)

- Tried the same setup with another asteirsk server (running 0.9) and it keeps going after 1 minute without any problem. device->SIP->AsteriskServer(CVS-Stable)->VoicemailServer(0.9)

I have experienced this as well.  If I set the canreinvite to no on the forwarding server it appears to work.  Is it possible this is related to the rtptimeout of 60 seconds.

canreinvite was already at no, you might be onto something with rtptimeout, I'll play around a bit with it

You're right, if I changed rtptimeout for the calling servers to more than the maxmessage, it works fine.

That solution satisfies me.

I don't know about others. I guess the voicemail could send a RTP packet every once in a while as a keep alive? but that just an uninformed idea :-), without any knowledge of the innerworkings

Closed as this is a configuration issue.
