Description: | hello, i want use music on hold on my system, but the mp3-player use too much cpu-time and i must delete the mp3-files to disable the player. the player for music on holt should only loaded, if it is needed, also music on hold is play. asterisk can call it with a random playlist. why start asterisk three tasks with the mp3-play if no music on hold is needed or played to a connect phone. please start the player only if music on hold is played and let it off all other time. it is not needed, too block cpu-time unnecessarily with programs, which are not needed at this time. you use this cpu-time better for asterisk to get a better performance. goodby | ||
Comments: | By: Michael Jerris (mikej) 2005-05-23 16:42:18 Moved from SIP general to Asterisk Musiconhold. Please provide configuration details. Is this only an issue with mpg123? By: Russell Bryant (russell) 2005-05-23 18:14:08 This is obviously known and not a bug. Please do not post feature requests to the Asterisk bug tracker. If you want a less processor intensive method for music on hold, don't use mpg123. There are other options available to you such as a stream, the rawplayer that is in CVS HEAD (which could also be used in 1.0), or also the native moh that is also in CVS HEAD. |
