Comments: | By: Brian West (bkw918) 2005-05-18 18:38:54 why not? /b By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2005-05-18 19:22:39 Because * would be hard to not match :) By: Anthony Minessale (anthm) 2005-05-18 19:42:04 not if you are using the app_dictate to both read and write the file, you would never know the difference as it has no worries about '*' I'll let everyone else decide since it don't care all that much it's sort of a philosophical issue. By: Kevin P. Fleming (kpfleming) 2005-05-19 12:04:44 I don't think it's worth changing the code for this; every shell I have used allows quoting to match filenames with glob characters in them, so there are definitely ways to deal with it. By: Michael Jerris (mikej) 2005-05-19 12:34:01 I can see cause for confusion with this. How about we close this one out as not a bug but if somone wants to take the time create a patch that would be fine too? By: Kevin P. Fleming (kpfleming) 2005-05-19 12:38:39 I agree, if there is a patch for this (with the voice recording(s) that will be necessary) then we can address it, but I don't think any of us are going to volunteer to write the patch for a relatively minor issue like this :-) |
