Description: | When enabled to do so, Asterisk detects reverse battery as a disconnect signal. I would like to see it changed so that battery reversal signifies answer supervision, and that drop of battery for a configurable amount of time (default to 1 second) indicates disconnect supervision. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** Traditionally in the North American telephone network, reversal of battery happened once when the phone was answered, and again when the phone was hung up. In connecting legacy electromechanical switches, we find that we cannot use this feature because the call is disconnected when the initial (answer) reversal happens. | ||
