Description:This file, jointly produced by kpfleming and myself, describes the new configuration file syntax including the new template features.

Both me and kpfleming have disclaimers on file.

The only thing that I would like to see made clearer is the "limitation" section that talks about not being able to override certain settings in sip.conf and iax.conf. I fear that if we don't make this as clear as possible it will just generate bugs and support requests...

Something like this:

Because of this limitation, the following settings cannot be overidden in a section that inherits them from a template:

iax.conf
 -- allow
 -- disallow
 -- deny
 -- permit
 -- context

sip.conf
 -- allow
 -- disallow
 -- deny
 -- permit
