Description:IAX and SIP registrations cannot be binded/made to a virtual IP address or alias.

This makes me feel uneasy about the IP code cos apache
and BIND and other software have no problem doing this stuff.

This isn't MAJOR and in any case it's a duplicate of another bug.
Apache is fine because it's TCP, and BIND binds to each individual port individually.  Please check other bug reports before placing bugs in the bug tracker, and read the bug guidelines regarding MAJOR bugs.

Can we fix chan_iax2 do do this?  Tony and I can't find this other bug associated with it how can we bind to all interfaces... I'll see if I can dig up something.  This is more a major anoyance than a major bug. :P

I tried to search for "virtual ip" to see what you mean by duplicate
but after the 3 min wait there is nothing.  Typically, this mantis will die if you search for anything.  I have had to erase my cookie on multiple occasaions after getting stuck in a search so pardon my reluctance.

I think it is a pretty important issue as we need to be able to trust all
tcpip software to work right or we will spend hours wondering WTF at least
I would appriciate the system warning you its not possible.

I would actually enjoy having mutiple bind's btw..
