If you do a dump on the wire, what do you see?  What makes you think this is an Asterisk bug as opposed to a grandstream bug?

Hello, is there any interest in this bug anymore?

By: vladuk (vladuk) 2004-10-04 09:27:39

U are right could be a Grandstream bug, but do not know how to prove to Grandsteam that this bug is related to them.
any advices?

By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2004-10-04 10:20:02

Yes, my advice is to look on the wire using ethereal and see if there are or are not packets going to the phone during the silence period.

By: vladuk (vladuk) 2004-10-12 03:15:31

Right, during silence period there is no packets from * to ATA box at all.
Packets are going only in one direction from ATA box to * only.

What do you see on the screen during that silence period if you're looking at the Asterisk screen?

By: vladuk (vladuk) 2004-10-12 09:31:28

This is from Asterisk screen:
"Oct  1 11:35:29 WARNING[1114532784]: chan_sip.c:1857 sip_write: Asked to transmit frame type 64, while native formats is 8 (read/write = 64/8)

Was included in attached file.

Okay I'll just suspend it then.  Maybe you had an old version of software or something.
