Description:After upgrading to 1.0 cvs and doing a make samples -- Asterisk would not start.  I finally traced this to the fpm mp3s in /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3.  When I removed the id3v2 tags (with "id3v2 -d *") -- asterisk would start (and it would start with other mp3's I have).

****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ******

While this could be gentoo specific (I haven't heard anyone else have this problem), it could be nice to make a note of this because it takes a while to hunt down and would be very frustrating if this was my first install.

No it doesn't.  You're using a version of mpg123 from portage I suspect.  Go get mpg123 0.59r and you will not have this issue.  Or do make mpg123 in the asterisk dir and it will fetch and build it for you.  The mgp123 from portage is broken.

Alos this is not a crash in asterisk but in mpg123.
