Description:After updating to the current build we found that the MWI is not working. The shuttle tone is given and works. But no light on Sayson 480 and 390 phones. They don't seem to get the FXK signal.

We are running CVS-HEAD-07/22/04-12:21:41 with Sayson 390's and are not experiencing this issue. The MWI light is working along with the stutter tone. Also worked with CVS-HEAD-07/19/04-11:56:29

What kind of card are you using? that exhibits the problem?

I am having the problem on 2 systems. One has the T100p board and the other one has a T410P.  Both systems are connected to adtran 750.  I also have another system which has two T410P installed and it's working fine there. But with an older release from 7/06/04. Since this one is a larger installation we have not wanted to update it.  We did swap a 750 out of that system and put it on one with the problem and still did not help.  We did get it once to work. But we had to reboot due to CallerID change in one of the users zapata.conf file and it stopped working.  It's strange since all the systems are running almost same hardware. SuperMicro 1U servers, Same Adtran's and same phones.  We have exchanged phones and still no go.  In fact the setups are so similar that other then the callerID and inbound DID numbers it's interchangeble.

Housekeeping: Still a problem?

By: ariel_ (ariel_) 2004-07-28 08:42:17

This is just an update. After upgrading the latest CVS as of yesterday 7/28/04 the problem is still there. We are not able to get the lights working on our sayson phones. But we do get the shuttle tone.  Funny that we do get the light to work on all of our sip phones.

Can you listen with a lineman's test set and hear if the FSK is being sent?

By: Mark Spencer (markster) 2004-07-28 14:59:37

Also, can you confirm that going back to an earlier CVS version causes the problem to go away?

By: ariel_ (ariel_) 2004-07-28 15:17:11

We have not used a Lineman but set. But we have used Ztmonitor and see that it does seem to send something out.  What is very strange is that we only got it to work again by re-installing completely form an older build he had ghosted of the system made 7/06/04.  If we roll back it does not work.

Can you try rolling back components individually, such as zaptel, asterisk, libpri?

Mark We have found the problem with the MWI and it was mainly with the Adtrans 750. If you use a newer build of zapatel 7/06/04 or later it would not work. The adrans need to have firmware 35 or above. Firmware 10 would work. But anything lower would not.

We have corrected the problem by upgrading the firmware of the adtran 750.

Closing per ariel_.  Quote from him: "<ariel_> Yes we actually tested it on 10 different adtran 750's."

bugs that were not fixed by CVS need to be closed, not resolved.  Thanks :)
