Description:Echo training gives a really bad echo for about 5 seconds on an X100P for every call. Could it not start retraining from the known state it finished with at the end of the previous call.

then that should do exactly what you want it mutes the line and pretrains the echo can.  I'm not sure if saving the echo settings is even possible right now.

Is this on outgoing or incoming calls?

Ok what ever has been changed in the last few days in the zaptel driver has greatly improved matters with only a very faint echo on both incoming and outgoing calls in the first 1/2 second.
