Description:	We needed to use first name in our directory application, so we recorded a custom message and revised the order of the names in our voicemail.conf file. When recomiling asterisk, it replaced our custom message, causing confusion with customers and general grief. A way to configure directory to use first, last or either name would be tremendously helpful. ****** ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ****** If implementing configuration for firts, last or either name, you will need additional Allison recordings.

Also, does it add an explicit "escape hatch" from directory? It's not clear that you've got to wait for digit timeout to get out of the directory right now. Does it add a "press 0" to reach the operator? By: cmslaght (cmslaght) 2004-04-29 11:06:15 It would so be nice if the number of digits are more variable.  I run into the situation all the time here where I don't know how to spell the name so I just enter the first digit instead of 3.  Yes my list of possibilities get much larger but I can then find them.
